Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween!

Today, I get to make the dentists in my area SO happy, as I will be shoving candy in TONS of kids’ bags.  In honor of today’s fabulous celebration, I have a card for you…

HA! You thought I was going to show you something spooky… NOPE! I have moved on… it’s Christmas card time!  This particular quickie was part of a set that I made for a Cards for Troops card drive at work.  Sorry about the photo; I completely forgot to take a pic before I dropped them off and had to run back and grab one in yucky lighting with my phone.

This is a flat card (no inside), but you can write your little message on the tag inside the paper bag, or on the back.  I used the Fancy Pants Designs’ Home for Christmas paper pack (which I just ADORE!!), a Canvas Corp Mini bag, and Loopy4Digis’ Gingerbread Shack that I colored digitally, and then cut out with my Silhouette Cameo.    I honestly have no idea where the little paperclip came from – it was in my stash (you know how that goes, right? :) ).  It took me about 30 minutes to make 25 of these cards.

Hopefully, this weekend (if this stupid change of season cold cooperates), I will be putting up all of the Print & Cut files for the store stamps. I apologize for the delay!

Don’t forget to Give Thanks with us this week for a chance at a $10 store gift card:

Hope + Lookie!

Hope + Lookie!

Don’t forget that this week is the final week for the Hope You Can Cling To challenges on Splitcoaststampers.  You have until November 7 @ Noon Central to be able to upload your cards for a chance at a LOT of prizes!  One of our NEWEST Design Team members, Mary Ellen, is playing with these challenges, and here’s a FUN card she made for one challenge:

She used one of my favorite designs – the Button Card (so proud! :-) ), as well as some FUN twine.

And LOOKIE what I did….

I did it! I finally took the plunge and started my unstructured book.  Being insanely structured, this “messy” type of scrapbooking is SO hard for me, but I will power through!  I think my desire to play with this FUN Fancy Pants & Washi Tape got me motivated.  First of all, the book is the Artist Edition Brag Book.  If you haven’t seen this thing, you SO need to!  Check out the specs…

  • 60 scrapbook/journaling pages, each 9″ x 7″ (with lines and a FUN scroll design shown below)
  • 15 2-slot photo protectors, each holds four 4″ x 6″ photos, for a total of 60 photos or designs (shown as frosted below)
  • 15 pocket folder pages for storing memorabilia (the brown pages below)
  • Divided into 12 segments for a full year’s worth of memories
  • Measures 9″ x 8″, including binding.

Here’s what the inside looks like:

The paper I used is from The Good Life paper pack – LOVE this paper! It, along with the matching Brag Pad, will be making several appearances inside the book, as well. (Once I get up the nerve to move forward…) The fun patterns can go with just about any layout, especially for this type of scrapbooking.

On top of the paper, I used some FUN FUN FUN washi tape! I think the washi is REALLY what is motivating me to do this book.  I have a feeling this stuff is going to be addictive! On the left-hand side, I used 2 of the patterns from the All is Bright set. Yup, it’s Christmas stuff, but can be used for anything!  The brown is glitter ribbon from American Crafts that I had in my stash.  The tape on top of The Good Life paper is from a 7 Gypsies set called Postale.

Finally, on top of the paper, I put dots of Liquid Pearls and Stickles.

It came together pretty easily, but one word to the wise… make sure you decorate the FRONT cover of the book, not the back. Yeah, I did.  Luckily, it quite easy to move/remove pages in this book, so I took it all apart to put the back in the front.  Yup, sure did! *smirk*

Be sure to Give Thanks with us this week…
